For rope installation, the one-handed rope guides simply fold away toward the tree.
The locking hinges prevent unwanted folding back. This allows the drum to be comfortably loaded with rope.
When lowering, the rope guides are folded back and the rope is securely guided onto the drum from any position through the guides.
Removable rubber buffers protect the tree.
